Description

This is a project-based subject focused on social design through cooperative and participatory methodologies. It explores the evolution of the designer, from author to mediator, and his or her role in co-design and social mediation processes. Through research and analysis tools, eco-social transformations and social analysis methodologies are studied in order to anticipate trends and opportunities. Design as research is explored in depth, integrating approaches from the social sciences and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, cases of participatory design and cooperative economic models that favour the sustainability of the designer as an agent of change are analysed.
