3. Purpose of data processing and legal basis
BAU, Centro Universitario, S.L. may process your personal data for the following purposes, depending on the reason for which the data were provided:
I. To process pre-enrollment and/or enrollment in our academic programs (Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s degrees, Postgraduate programs, and other courses).
II. To manage event and workshop registrations.
III. To manage access to and use of the Virtual Campus.
IV. To manage subscription to communications about courses, events, publications, promotional and commercial content, and institutional updates.
V. To carry out any necessary actions to fulfill requests made during interaction with the website and fulfill legal obligations arising therefrom.
The legal basis for processing data for purpose (I) is the data subject's consent for pre-enrollment and the performance of a contract for enrollment.
For purposes (II) to (V), the legal basis is the user's prior consent, which may be withdrawn at any time. Each data collection form on the website requires the user’s express consent in advance.
In order to process requests or other user actions, the provision of contact details is required. Otherwise, we may not be able to provide an appropriate response. Users may withdraw their consent at any time by sending an email with the subject “unsubscribe” to [email protected].
Users guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, completeness, and currency of the personal data provided and are responsible for any damage or harm, direct or indirect, that may result from noncompliance with this obligation. Data related to enrollment and pre-enrollment will be retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and, if applicable, thereafter for the period required by applicable law and until any legal responsibilities expire.
Data related to event registrations will be retained for the duration of the event and as long as necessary to manage any related legal responsibilities.
Data for sending newsletters and commercial communications will be retained indefinitely unless the user requests deletion.
Data related to inquiries and information requests will be retained for the time necessary to respond, with a maximum of 12 months.
