Professional activity and/or career

His practice and research focus on generative systems and interaction. He explores order and chaos in these systems on an audiovisual scale, an equilibrium from which complex behaviours emerge. His interest lies in using algorithms, codes and rules to create visuals that propose narrative languages or stimulate reflection among the audience. He has worked for companies such as Reactable Systems, Cuatic and Ping Pong Technologies, and has developed freelance projects for the Zaragoza Expo, the Barcelona 2004 Forum of Cultures, the Cidade da Cultura museum, Medialab Prado and Google Devart.

Research

I am interested in the complexity that arises from small, simple behaviours – that complexity which emerges from the balance between order and chaos. I seek to capture the diversity and richness of complexity by working with visual algorithms.

I have taken part in various European projects: *Contested Desires* (2020–22), which explores the relationships between art and colonialism. I have also taken part in On the Fly (2022) on live coding. I have exhibited, amongst other things, digital installations and artworks for Cosmocaixa, Fòrum Barcelona 2004, the Sónar Innovation Challenge, Ignite San Francisco, the MIRA Visual Arts Festival, Mobile Art Week, Abandon Normal Devices Liverpool and Medialab Prado.

My doctoral thesis, Generative Art: A Study of Complexity through Artistic Practice with Code, was supervised by Dr Mireia Feliu and Lali Barrière.
