Professional activity and/or experience

Scenic artist and lighting designer specialising in expanded dramaturgy and lighting for contemporary dance. With teaching experience that dates back to 2019, he teaches his own stage creation and lighting design workshops. Recently, he has collaborated as a lighting artist with the company Javier Guerrero / SIMÓN CIEN (in co-production with the Mercat de les Flors), the creator Andrea Carrión, soon to be in co-production with the Teatre Circ Múrcia, and the company of Elvira Balboa, soon to be in co-production with the Centre Choreogràfic Gallec. He was a nominee for the Max Prize 2023 in the best lighting design category for Javier Guerrero’s "Caos Meditativo” (“Meditative Chaos”).

In terms of lighting, he works with the idea of light as an active part of scenic dramaturgy, forming dreamlike spaces that reinforce the message of the work or expand its polysemy. One of the main pursuits in his dance work is to create light set designs that both accompany the body and tell their own story starting with a metaphor, still and moving images, shadows, and colour as the main narrative elements.
