Activity and/or professional career

She has recently participated in the Barcelona Science Biennial 2023 with a collaborative installation between UB scientists and choreographers. His work has been exhibited in Barcelona at the Santa Mónica Art Center, at the CCCB, at The Green Parrot gallery, the PLECS-Cultura Rizoma Festival, the Maristany Art Center, the Souvenir Space, the Loop Festival, La Capilla Bcn / Production, And also internationally in countries like Norway, Sweden and Germany. She has been a resident of Hangar, La Escocesa, El Graner and other international residences in Berlin and Stockholm. Agustín combines his artistic activity with teaching at various institutions such as the University of Utrecht where he teaches film classes and the Metaphor Art School in Barcelona.

Investigation

Ortiz Herrera's artistic practice develops in the fields of audiovisual, performance and installation. He uses these media to activate a queer perspective in the patriarchal-colonialist context inscribed in the scientific and historical disciplines.

His latest film Gnosis il·luminada was selected as part of the Not Yet Yes program curated by Simon*e van Saarloos at the IDFA (International Documentary film Festival Amsterdam) 2022.
