Adobe Photoshop offers a complete set of design and photography tools for anyone who wants to engage in digital image editing in its many forms in the future.

It is used by photographers, fashion designers and stylists, graphic designers, editorial designers, illustrators, interior designers, and audiovisual designers, among others.

The course will teach you how to adjust, crop, and eliminate objects, and retouch and repair old photographs. You will play with colours, effects, and much else to turn the everyday into something extraordinary. Turn your snapshots into works of art, regardless of whether you plan to make ordinary edits or total transformations.

The course also offers an introduction to Adobe Firefly AI, the Adobe art generator with artificial intelligence.

The main objective of the course is to ensure a good understanding of Adobe Photoshop. We will learn and analyse the most relevant functions and fundamental techniques, so that we can work with this tool in a fluid manner.

1. Digital laboratory / image digitisation for different media

• Work mode: vector system and bitmap.
• Reproduce an original correctly: Size and resolution, professional Reflex cameras, flatbed scanner, and drum scanner.
• Enlargement without loss: Canvases, large posters.
• Digitisation for textiles: Screen printing, prints.
• Canvas size: copy backgrounds, scale images, create panoramas.
• Colour modes: RGB, CMYK, GRAYSCALE, B/W, Duotones.
• Introduction to bridge.
• File extensions depending on workflow (TIFF, JPG, PNG, PSD, PDF, EPS).

2. Photomontage and design

• Organise the layers into groups and prepare the photomontage.
• Work with layer styles
• Creation of parallel and projected shadows.
• Blend modes between images.
• Working with transparencies.

• Selection tools: transform and save selections.

• Densitise and save colours: customised colour palettes and palettes for exchange.

3. Digital illustration

• Correctly digitise an illustration: colour using a customised colour bank, retouching tools, and paint.
• Create shadows and light in the illustration.
• Close outlines of the illustration
• Making a customised texture palette: placing textures
• Work with clipping layers
• Recover the illustration profile without loss using Alpha channels

4. Advanced projects and special effects / Mock-up

• Focus and blur with LAB colours.
• Colour retouch: histogram, contrast curves, and the elimination of colour casts, hue, and saturation using colour adjustment masks.

• Warp and wrinkle effect using Alpha channels and distortion filter
