Professional activity and career
Two-time winner of Colombia's National Documentary Award (Bagatela, Nacer). Co-founder of Artefacto, where he promotes film, artificial intelligence and new narrative projects with a strong international focus. He has been selected and awarded at festivals such as TIFF, NYFF, IFFR Rotterdam, IDFA, HotDocs, SXSW, DocNYC, Visions du Réel, CPH:DOX, SEMINCI, Málaga, BAFICI, Mar del Plata and many more.
His research includes virtual reality projects with the United Nations on the peace process in Colombia and studies on the social impact of cinema. He is currently a member of the IDFA Bertha Fund selection committee, advising on international productions.
