Description
Under the umbrella of the denomination XD, this subject is an introduction to languages and techniques that, like archival work, appropriationism, bioart or other post-media practices, have been more recently incorporated into the art context.
The subject is a workshop and experimentation space primarily practical. As in the rest of the subjects of this discipline, two essential areas are connected: on one hand, the knowledge of materials and their behaviors, as well as the learning of various techniques and technologies; on the other hand, the exploration of artistic language and its aesthetic and communicative dimensions.
Practical experimentation is accompanied by work with artistic references in this field, both contemporary and historical, offering a broader perspective that enriches and contextualizes the creative process.
