Description
This subject is posed as an exploration of the art of action and performance, delving into its distinctive features and key notions such as body, presence, time, relationship with the audience, or documentation. These notions are examined, problematized, based on discourses, tools, and contemporary cases such as gender theory and activism, network telepresence, or various posthumanist and decolonial approaches. The subject, essentially practical, is structured around processes of ideation, development and production, and approaches the historical baggage of performance understood as an artistic discipline, as well as its transdisciplinary dissolution in contemporary artistic practices.
