Description

This subject will give the student a general overview of the culture of the image and its evolution, from the emergence of the Modern Movement until its consolidation in the mid-20th century. Special emphasis will be placed on those moments when a collective vision emerged that has been decisive for the present state of visual communication; highlighting, as a guiding thread, the main references that have contributed to this evolution. Knowledge of the past of visual communication will allow the student a better understanding of the present and will enrich the possibilities of action as a professional in the future. Every profession must reflect on itself based on the knowledge of the past, with a careful understanding of the present and a projection for the future so that society considers it as a bearer of totally necessary specific knowledge.
