Description
This subject aims to learn to use drawing in a versatile way, as a way of observing, understanding, recording and communicating aspects of the surrounding world. It also understands drawing as an imaginative power that modifies our relationship with the environment, also affecting its cognitive quality of self-knowledge. The starting point, therefore, is the fascination and curiosity that is articulated through a gaze that attentively interrogates what is around it, and that is willing to unlearn, transform and grow. Drawing is a medium and a fundamental tool and, as such, it is worked on as a habit and as a form of thought. Throughout the course, various approaches to the subject are proposed through specific practical exercises, aimed at exploring specific problems and experimenting with different tools, supports, materials, techniques and procedures. The exercises are contextualized through historical and theoretical frameworks that allow to position the practice of drawing in relation to its tradition and contemporary languages, with specific references and the analysis of its different physical, aesthetic and cultural dimensions.
