  • Year: Third year
  • Type: Elective
  • Mention: Audiovisual Design Itinerary
  • Subject code: GDVA03

Description

This subject delves into the basic concepts of animation. The aim is to analyse the relationship between space and time in concepts such as rhythm, arcs, and anticipation, and their expressive possibilities as tools to convey ideas or sensations. This process helps us differentiate between simply moving an element and truly animating it, in other words, bringing our graphics and characters to life.

Subsequently, we will experiment with different animation techniques, such as pixilation (which uses objects and people), cut-out (animated collage), and digital illustration. The aim is to uncover the considerable expressive potential of animation and how it can enhance the communication of audiovisual design in various formats, such as documentary animation or music videos, among others.
