Description

This subject takes a journey through the main debates, challenges and possibilities that the so-called artistic or practice-based research inaugurates. This field of knowledge emerges from the premise that there are forms of knowledge that can be acquired and transferred in creative practices. To this end, the subject delves into conceptual debates, as well as in processes of analysis and application of methods, and processes of material and corporeal experimentation, exploring the various dimensions of the researcher-practitioner figure.
The subject is, in this sense, an introduction to research, in the context of which each student has to learn to identify objects of study, contextualize and situate their learnings, apply methods, design creative ways of learning and sharing their research, situate themselves politically in their research, quote and acknowledge the people or groups from whom they have learned. In the framework of the subject, various theoretical and practical proposals are developed, both individually and collectively, in relation to the subject matter.
