Presentation
The Postgraduate Degree in Creative Industries Management provides designers, artists and professionals in the creative industries with the necessary tools and knowledge to develop professionally, undertake and manage innovative projects.
The postgraduate addresses key issues such as project creation, innovation, legal aspects of intellectual property and the commercialization of creative ideas through neuroeducational criteria and methodologies that enhance meaningful learning.
The curriculum is structured in five modules with a specific focus on developing essential skills. From the foundations of management and value proposition to innovation and conscious leadership, each module is designed to provide comprehensive and practical training. The programme culminates with a Postgraduate Final Project, where each student will apply the knowledge acquired in a personal and useful project.
Carried out in collaboration with the Faculty of Business and Communication of the UVIC-UCC and with a dynamic and motivating approach, the postgraduate course includes workshops, workshops and external visits, creating a direct bridge between students and the creative industries.
Syllabus
The program is divided into five main modules, each of which addresses essential aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation in the creative industries.
Module 1 – Management fundamentals
The first module provides a solid knowledge on the principles and practices of management applied to the design sector and creative industries.
Introduction to Conscious Management
- Structure, operation and principles of administration and organization.
- Management models focused on conscious creation and creative industries.
- Advanced management issues such as strategic decision making.
- Case studies of exemplary creative companies.
Practical tools of Conscious Management
- Introduction to the Canvas model.
- Preparation of budgets for projects of the creative industries.
- Determination of prices and commercial margins.
- Case studies to apply management knowledge.
Module 2 – Value proposition and effective communication
This module aims to enable students to identify, design and communicate more honest and effective value propositions in the context of design and creative industries.
Value proposal

- Development of an effective and practical value proposition.
Effective communication and Branding
- Digital communication and social media management.
- Construction and maintenance of personal and corporate brand.

Module 3 – Creation Management
The module promotes innovative culture and proposes a sustainable approach in the creation and management of projects in the creative industries.

Intellectual property and responsibility
- Introduction to copyright, patents and trademarks.

Module 4 – Conscious leadership and management of people and teams
The objective of this module is to develop skills for the identification, management and conscious leadership of high performance work teams and for the achievement of results in projects.

Module 5 – Postgraduate Final Project
The last module focuses on the Postgraduate Final Project, the objective of which is to facilitate the practical application of the knowledge acquired during the program through the creation and development of a personal project.

Pre-enrolment and Admission
To apply for a master’s or postgraduate program at BAU, you must request your admission through the pre-enrolment process. Each application is evaluated by the program’s academic coordination team to balance the group composition and provide high-quality training.
BAU's master's and postgraduate programs have limited spots. The pre-enrolment process is carried out through admission rounds and remains open until all available spots are completed. Therefore, we recommend applying early to ensure your place in the program.

BAU students and alumni who have completed at least 50% of the credits for the Bachelor's Degree, Higher Degree in Design, or Graphic Design Diploma, or 100% of the credits for a Master’s or Postgraduate program, will receive a 10% discount.
