Presentation
Studying Design at BAU means learning to create messages, objects, relationships, or situations to build a more conscious and responsible society. It involves developing creative and innovative design methods that contribute to the well-being of people, the community, and the environment.
BAU's Bachelor's Degree in Design encompasses experimentation, research, trial and error, documentation of processes, historical knowledge, and critical thinking. It involves collaborating with other social agents, sharing ideas, and exploring new spaces, materials, and aesthetics. BAU Design students ask questions, identify challenges and opportunities, lead projects, and are prepared to bring solutions and new perspectives to local and global issues.
BAU Design graduates are creative professionals capable of hybridising languages, imaginaries, and methods from different fields of design. They expand the fields of audiovisual, spatial, graphic, and fashion design and broaden connections with other sectors to respond to the needs of the present and propose more sustainable ways of living together.
The Bachelor's Degree in Design is an official university degree issued by the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, adapted to the European university system (European Higher Education Area, EHEA). Graphic Design Itinerary
Graphic Design at BAU communicates ideas and expresses emotions through visual language. This itinerary trains professionals who respond graphically to the communication needs of several industries. They develop projects with a global outlook and connected to other creative disciplines, working with diverse collaborators, such as institutions, companies and clients.
Students learn to combine techniques such as typography, photography, graphic animation and illustration to develop creative proposals. During the itinerary, students design brands, applications, posters, websites, advertising, editorial projects, packaging and signage, with special emphasis on the research process and the ability to adapt to all kinds of contexts.

Students develop projects of different scales and contexts that allow them to achieve rigour in technical representation and at the same time critically observe the relationships between the various actors that make up the space.
Through the elaboration of models, material experimentation, prototyping, the creation of visual documents or the elaboration of a narrative, alternative scenarios are proposed that allow progress towards a more sustainable and fair society. Students are prepared to collaborate in design projects, to influence the critical evaluation of the built environment or material research, among other areas.

Through projects for the screen, digital media or the creation of immersive experiences, we respond to the needs of different agents and propose innovative audiovisual solutions.
Students learn to design fiction, non-fiction, interactive installation-based or hybrid projects from their own point of view. Short films, video clips, documentaries, installations, pieces made with AI and stop-motion and 3D projects, among others, are created with the aim of generating connections, reflections and profound transformations for their users.
