There are numerous reasons for participating in an exchange and mobility program. From a purely academic point of view, studying in a foreign university allows students to carry out courses and subjects that are different from those they would be able to study at BAU, and likewise experience different university teaching systems and master a foreign language. From a personal point of view it allows students to experience a different society, opening their mentality to differences, learning about a different country and making new friends and contacts. BAU escola superior de disseny promotes student mobility. Our international recognition as a design institution allows us to offer the possibility of international education with scholarships pertaining to the SOCRATES-ERASMUS exchange program with foreign universities of international prestige such as: Buckinghamshire Chiltrens University College (UK), Danmarks DesignSkole (Denmark), Willem de Kooning Academie de Rotterdam (Netherlands), Design Academie Eindhoven (Netherlands), NABA Academia de Belle Arti di Milano (Italy), ESAD (Portugal), Fachhochschule Hanover (Germany), Fachhochschule Düesseldorf (Germany), Anhalt University of Applied Science (Germany), Fachhochschule Dormunt (Germany), Universität für Angewandte Kunst Wien (Austria), Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Netherlands), Accademia Cignaroli di Verona (Italy), Holon Academic Institute of Technology -HAIT- School of Design de Tel Aviv (Israel, CEDIM de Monterrey (Mexico), l’Haute École d’Arts Appliquées de Genève (Switzerland), ECV École de Communication Visuelle (Paris and Bordeaux, FR) School of Visual Arts (Nova York, USA) or the Australian Design Academy (Melbourne, Australia), amongst others.
These exchanges between universities, both for students and professors, allow promoting aspects as important as cooperation, solidarity, learning diversity and multiculturalism, apart from personal enrichment and mastering of the language that living in a foreign country represents. BAU will inform about the registration applications available during the course for mobility programs and other scholarships such as AECI, Eurodissey, COPCA or ICEX.
