Objectives and Content
Theoretical objectives: The main aim of the course is to give students a general introduction to set design for theatre, opera and dance.
Students will examine the many possibilities for set design based on the plot, choreography and music of the performance in question. Practical objectives: Students will complete a small set design project.
Contents: Field and concept of set design. Structure of the stages.
Typology: in the round, traverse, proscenium arch, thrust, curtained, stage houses, permanent stages, mobile elements, open air stages…
Lighting area and sound area.
This course is aimed at students interested in stage design, as well as interior designers, wardrobe designers, lighting technicians…
