In this day and age, companies are much more than simply
the products they offer –they represent the sum total
of the value of the company, in which we can include
the services they offer, the people who work for them,
the communications they make as well as where they
make them, and, of course, their culture. As a result,
and thanks or due to the vast quantity of information
we receive from a multitude of sources and through
so many different channels, there is a fundamental
need to create and follow strategically designed guidelines
in order to coordinate all of the necessary elements
for creating a strong brand -from choosing a name,
to designing a logo, to creating a position, to building
an overall brand.
The Postgraduate Degree in Brand Design focuses
on the creative process as put into practice in design
studios which specialise in Branding. It is taught
through theoretical and practical training based
on real processes, in collaboration with marketing
professionals from prestigious brands.
This Postgraduate Degree in Brand Design, along with
the Postgraduate Degree in Packaging Design which
will be offered from October, is part of the course for
the Masters Degree in Branding and Packaging Design.
Course Objectives
The Postgraduate Degree in Brand Design is mainly
based on the study of brands and trademarks, and the
projection of communication actions which focus on
these in the disciplines of Branding and design. The
main objective of the Postgraduate Degree is to offer
training which is both theoretical and practical and
an insight into the graphic communication of
trademarks, understood as elements which add value
to the activities and communication strategies of
businesses. Students develop and design activities
based on branding in order to learn how to maximize
the impact of brands and trademarks on the market
and on consumers in the long term. Largely projectbased,
the Postgraduate Degree in Branding is
organised into 4 workshops on specific themes
(institutions, business, food, and new media) which
are coordinated and taught by specialised businesses
and design professionals with the aim of teaching
students how to create the trademarks of the future.
