The Diploma in Interior Design
“Bau Evening” offers training that
is both basic and complete,
covering everything an interior
designer should know and be able
to do. From the principles of
design, its standards and the
diversity of materials, to the
applications and special aspects
of techniques of representation
and construction in the various
fields of work: homes,
commercial spaces, stands, the
hospitality sector, premises,
furniture, etc.
The course consists of three
terms, three days a week, in the
evening. Each term, one of the
courses is practical and projectbased,
in which the students
develop projects. This is
complemented by a theoretical
course to reinforce the student’s
training at both the basic and
cultural levels.
Objectives and Methodology
In the classrooms, the teacher-tutor
has a close relationship with the
students, providing personalised
attention and monitoring.
In the first year, the basic
principles of design are
introduced, and the students
complete projects based on the
different professional fields.
In the second year, the complexity
of the projects is increased, and
the focus is on the classic fields
of interior design: homes,
residential care, the hospitality
sector, commercial spaces,
temporary spaces, etc.
In the third course, the students
study interior design from a
professional perspective, applying
a more technical language, based
on using rigorous criteria to
decide on the most appropriate
design strategy for each project.
