At Bau we expand and improve our space to make it more modern, comfortable and functional every day.
At 6000m2 the school boasts all types of equipment for the purpose of design training:
Theoretical and practical classrooms
The theoretical and practical classrooms include the necessary technical and audiovisual equipment for training.
Computer rooms featuring Mac and PC environments equipped with the latest versions of design software and the necessary technical and audiovisual equipment for training.
Workshops with the necessary technical equipment to carry out the jobs in each training path:
- Modelling Workshop
- Digital Fabrication Workshop
- Set and Laboratory Workshop
- Tailoring and Pattern Designing Workshop
- Screen Printing Workshop
- Typography Workshop
A 300 m2 versatile space with the necessary technical and audiovisual equipment for training and giving lectures, and for the students to experiment and freely develop their creativity in an autonomous way, or tutored.
The Library offers various rooms and facilities for consultation and for personal work, as well as bibliographic, lending and Student Desk information services.
The Library also offers other services such as:
- Support and bibliographic advice.
- Assistance with the use of the Virtual Campus
The Library opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Bau has a Bar/Café managed by a private company under concession that offers a café and catering service. It also has a microwave for the exclusive use of students, members of the TRP (Teaching and Research personnel) and the Administration and Services personnel of Bau.
The Cub is a place to buy work material and also provides a photocopying service. It also has audiovisual equipment available for rental.
Cub opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8.45 a.m. to 1.45 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Firmly committed to accessibility, all areas at Bau are adapted for people with reduced mobility. Also, should it be necessary, the lift can be used.
Our commitment to the environment and to sustainability is reinforced by the installation of a heating system connected to the Barcelona urban network of heating and cooling, which uses waste energy sources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
