From the beginning, I wanted to focus the research work on kids with autism, analyzing accompaniment pedagogies and contemporary theories about education. I redirected the project to a free and participative education; unconsciously I was following the same steps of one of the key referents in education, Maria Montessori, a pedagogue known as the creator of tools for the active and participative learning, a pedagogue that as me, wanted to start her work with disabled children. At this moment, is when come into play Espai Aigua, a free education school, active and participative. One of Espai Aigua’s main values has been to always accompany the other respecting the learning pace of each pupil and this is my idea of participating in this kind of education, giving my designer view of the objects that encourage the learning, the respect for the rates of assimilation of concepts and that they incentivize the active participation and the experimental learning. I decided to focus on the learning of writing and reading because I consider them ones of the most magical learnings for the kids, being able to read and write allows the children to begin to understand the world and to classify it.
